Horse Riding
The horse riding trip is a perfect complement to your summer fun at Bansko. Being situated on the left shore of River Mesta in the upper part of the beautiful southwards opened valley, Bansko offers great opportunity to explore an untouched piece of nature by horse.

Enjoy the stunning surroundings on horseback.
The valley itself is nestled amid three of the prettiest Bulgarian Mountains - the Pirin, Rila and the Rhodopi. A horse ride will lead you through a wide diversity of environments including lush green meadows, open pasture clearings, amazing rock formations andthrough tall stands of century-old pine forests.
Walking, Nature & Wildlife
Pirin National Park is a World Heritage national park that encompasses the larger part of the Pirin Mountains. It has an area of 274 km² and lies at an altitude from 1,008 to 2,914 m. Two nature reserves are located within the park: Bayuvi, Dupki and Yulen.

The rugged terrain can easily be explored.
Much of the area is forested, with the best conifer woods in Bulgaria, holding important populations of the Balkan endemic species Macedonian Pine, Bosnian Pine and Bulgarian Fir. Animals include the Deer, the Capricorn, the Wolf and the Brown Bear. The number of bird species that can be seen in the park is particularly large - about 160, 40% of all bird species in Bulgaria. There are many tourist walking routes on offer for you to explore the local area.
Golf
The spectacular site of the new golf course, currently under construction, is in the area of the Razlog valley at the foot of the Pirin Mountain, only 5 km away from Bansko and the Spa resort of Katarino, and it is a world class facility. The large and widespread area of 300 acre directly placed at Pirin Residence has been left as original as possible. Lots of trees are placed on the summits of the former Dunes to give you the best look - out on the dunes, the Razlog valley and the three mountains Pirin, Rilaand Rodopi. The 18 - hole executive length course, with undulating greens and challenging water hazards, tests the skill of even the most experienced golfer.

Professional level courses.
Moving towards a 2008 completion is the Pirrin Golf and Country Club, one of three planned courses for the immediate area, designed by none other than the current European Ryder Cup Captain, Ian Woosnam. When completed, Panorama Villas will be located right alongside the 4th and 5th holes. Not so far away a Jack Nicklaus designed IBar course at Dolna Banya will be opening within two years, Gary Player's touch will be found on two courses under construction between Balchik and Kavarna and there are more projects on the way, two dozen or more are on the horizon. Golf is going to be a very rapidly growing recreation in Bulgaria.
